Xiaomi is taking its budget 20,000mAh power bank global, but the version heading outside China has lost one of the more convenient bits: the built-in charging cable. The Power Bank 20000 22.5W has already appeared on the company’s international website, which usually means a launch is close, even if Xiaomi is still keeping the European price under wraps.

In China, the device sells for about $25. That puts it squarely in the cheap-and-cheerful camp, where removable accessories are often the first thing to get cut before a wider rollout. It is also a reminder that Xiaomi loves a global product page almost as much as a proper announcement.

Power Bank 20000 22.5W specs

The hardware itself is unchanged. Xiaomi says the battery capacity is 20,000mAh, or 74Wh, with support for 22.5W output. There is one USB Type-C port and two USB Type-A ports, so it can still handle a small pile of gadgets without forcing you to carry a separate hub.

  • Battery capacity: 20,000mAh (74Wh)
  • Output power: 22.5W
  • Ports: 1× USB Type-C, 2× USB Type-A
  • Colors: black for the global version

What Xiaomi removed for the global version

The missing integrated cable is the only obvious downgrade in the international model. That is mildly annoying if you liked the all-in-one convenience, but it may also make the bank easier to sell across different regions, where cable standards and packaging rules are less predictable than Xiaomi’s pricing strategy.

Size stays compact enough for a high-capacity brick at 150.6 × 72.2 × 26.3 mm, and Xiaomi says the device includes protection against overheating, overload, short circuits, overvoltage, and other mishaps. The real question is whether buyers will still see it as a bargain once the local price lands, because at this end of the market even a small markup can push shoppers toward rival models from Anker, Baseus, or Ugreen.

Black, simple, and probably everywhere soon

For now, the global edition is listed only in black. If Xiaomi keeps the price close to the Chinese level, this should be an easy recommendation for anyone who wants lots of capacity, basic fast charging, and no drama. If it climbs much higher, the missing cable suddenly looks less like a footnote and more like the whole story.
