SanDisk has started selling its new CFexpress 4.0 Type B memory cards on China’s JD.com, with capacities ranging from 128 GB to 4 TB. The cards use a PCIe Gen4 interface and deliver sequential read speeds of up to 3,700 MB/s and write speeds of up to 3,500 MB/s.
The 2 TB and 4 TB models guarantee a minimum sustained write speed of 3,100 MB/s—enough for continuous 8K and 12K video recording on professional cinema cameras and mirrorless cameras.
The lineup includes 128 GB, 256 GB, 400 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB versions. Pricing starts at approximately $520 for the 128 GB card, while the flagship 4 TB model costs $4,400—more than many high-end gaming PCs.

SanDisk says the cards can withstand drops from heights of up to 5 meters and loads of up to 7 kg. They also support SmartIdle, which automatically switches the card to a lower-power mode when it is idle. The cards are compatible with CFexpress Type B devices and card readers, and come with a limited lifetime warranty.
The cards are aimed primarily at professional photographers and videographers who need high sustained speeds and large capacities for high-bitrate video production.
