Noise has unveiled the REP Band, its first screenless fitness bracelet designed exclusively for the Indian market. Targeting users who want health monitoring without the distractions of notifications or animations, the REP Band delivers 24/7 wellness tracking, recovery scoring, and AI-powered health insights-all without the monthly subscription fees common among competitors.

The device takes aim at a niche dominated by brands like Whoop-a premium wellness band known for its subscription-based model. In India, rivals like Ultrahuman with their smart rings and Garmin with advanced sports metrics also compete for this crowd. Noise’s ace up its sleeve is pricing: at 9,999 rupees (about $120), the REP Band costs significantly less than a year of Whoop’s subscription, making it a clear value proposition for budget-conscious users.

Noise REP Band specifications and features

The REP Band sports a sandblasted stainless steel case with a dual-layer finish, weighing just 27 grams. Designed for all-day and nighttime wear, its hypoallergenic fabric strap features a one-handed clasp system. With 5 ATM water resistance, the band can handle showers and workouts with ease.

  • Battery life up to 10 days on a single charge
  • Optical sensor with four photodiodes and four green LEDs
  • Supports green, red, and infrared light
  • 6-axis sensor: accelerometer and gyroscope
  • Automatic detection of walking, running, cycling, rowing, and elliptical workouts
  • Continuous tracking of heart rate (24/7), HRV, sleep, stress, SpO₂, VO₂ max, breathing, and stamina

What sets the REP Band apart isn’t just the lack of a screen-it’s Noise’s commitment to accuracy. The company calibrated its sensors across Fitzpatrick skin types II through VI to improve tracking reliability for India’s diverse user base. Noise claims an average heart rate deviation of only -0.06 bpm compared to a Polar chest strap, a benchmark often considered the gold standard. Such precision positions the REP Band closer to specialized sports and recovery devices rather than typical budget smartwatches.

All health data syncs to NoiseFit’s app, where users get daily summaries and personalized AI recommendations at no extra cost. This contrasts sharply with Whoop’s subscription-heavy model, which locks premium insights behind recurring fees. In a market where buyers are increasingly cost-savvy, Noise’s no-subscription approach could resonate strongly, especially as India’s wearable scene evolves beyond mainstream budget smartwatches toward focused health gadgets.

Preorders for the Noise REP Band open on July 8 via Noise’s own site, as well as Amazon and Flipkart. The band will be available in four colors: Vivid Orange, Navy Blue, Classic Black, and Sand Beige. Should the REP Band succeed, it could give Indian tech brands a new reason to move away from the crowded wrist screen arms race and lean into wearables dedicated to sleep, recovery, and athletic performance.
