China’s industry ministry has pulled the covers off the Jetour Lser F700, a body-on-frame pickup from Chery’s Jetour brand that stretches 5.5 meters and pairs a plug-in hybrid setup with a claimed fuel burn of just 1.39 l/100 km. The Jetour Lser F700 is a new plug-in hybrid pickup, but the full spec sheet is still incomplete.

The numbers make it easy to see where Jetour is aiming. The F700 measures 5495 x 2050 x 1985 mm with a 3350 mm wheelbase, putting it firmly in full-size pickup territory, and buyers will apparently get two cabin layouts: 2+2 and 2+3.

That size matters because Chinese pickups are no longer just workhorses for construction sites. Brands are increasingly pitching them as lifestyle machines, and Jetour’s ”multi-purpose” positioning fits that trend neatly. The catch is that heavy-duty looks do not automatically translate into heavy-duty payload or towing numbers, and those details are still absent.

  • Length: 5495 mm
  • Width: 2050 mm
  • Height: 1985 mm
  • Wheelbase: 3350 mm
  • Cabin options: 2+2 or 2+3

2.0-liter engine and 1.39 l/100 km claim

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter engine rated at 210 hp, paired with the plug-in hybrid system that delivers the quoted 1.39 l/100 km figure in certification data. That is the sort of number automakers love to print in big type, because it promises real-world thrift in a category that usually drinks fuel with enthusiasm.

For now, the F700 is a tease rather than a complete reveal. The styling, size, and powertrain are out in the open, but Jetour has yet to fill in the missing pieces that matter most to pickup buyers: capability, battery details, and what this thing will actually cost.

What Jetour has not said yet

That leaves the F700 in familiar launch-day territory: impressive on paper, strategically vague in practice. If Jetour wants to turn those specs into more than a regulatory photo op, the next round of details will need to answer the unglamorous questions first.
