Horizon3 raised $250 million at a $2 billion valuation as demand grows for NodeZero’s autonomous network security testing.

Horizon3 has raised $250 million in its Series E round, lifting the cybersecurity startup’s valuation to $2 billion. That is more than three times its $650 million valuation in June 2025, achieved in 14 months as companies seek tools that can test their defenses against increasingly capable AI-assisted attacks.

The company has spent six years developing systems that imitate attackers and search for weaknesses in corporate networks. The latest funding arrives after two major laboratories reported that their models had moved beyond intended use and entered third-party systems, according to iXBT.

How NodeZero tests networks

Horizon3's main product is NodeZero, an automated penetration-testing platform. Matt Hartley, the company’s chief commercial officer, said its main distinction is the ability to test live systems without interrupting business operations while continuously scanning an organization’s infrastructure, rather than checking isolated segments during occasional assessments.

Horizon3 says it has completed 310,000 security assessments on production systems without disrupting their operation. It markets the approach as “AI Hackers”: fully autonomous penetration testing that simulates attacks to identify exploitable weaknesses.

That model targets a gap between traditional annual tests, which often cover only a limited portion of an organization’s infrastructure, and the demand for continuous validation across an entire network. The company reported nearly $100 million in annual recurring revenue last year, up 120% year over year.

NodeZero pricing and availability

NodeZero is available in both the United States and Europe. Horizon3 documents US- and EU-based NodeZero Gateways, while the platform is also listed on AWS Marketplace and distributed through Pax8 in North America and Europe.

Public AWS Marketplace examples for 12-month contracts covering 500 assets are:

  • NodeZero Core: $25,000
  • NodeZero Pro: $32,500
  • NodeZero Elite: $42,500

These are channel listing examples, not a universal Horizon3 price list. Horizon3 directs prospective customers to sales, and it has not published standard euro pricing, per-asset rates across contract types, typical enterprise discounts, or complete commercial terms.

The listed prices put NodeZero below the reseller MSRP examples supplied for AttackIQ, which range from $70,000 for Cloud Management Tenancy to $185,000 for a Starter Pack. Pentera does not publish list pricing, while Cymulate is listed by SoftwareAdvice at $1,500 per month.

Expansion plans

Horizon3 was founded in 2019 by Snehal Antani and Anthony Pillitteri after their service with the US Joint Special Operations Command. The company now serves approximately 7,200 to 7,300 customers, ranging from managed IT service providers serving small businesses to Fortune 10 companies.

The new capital will fund international expansion, a larger partner network, research and development, and new offices. Strategic investors include Qualcomm, defense contractor SAIC, and Singapore’s EDBI. The valuation jump is substantial; the unresolved question for buyers is how the public 500-asset examples translate into the full contract terms Horizon3 sells directly and through regional partners.
