GDPR compliance

Last updated · Jul 16, 2026

for(geeks) is committed to protecting the personal data of every reader and to processing it in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Because the site has no accounts and no advertising trackers, and analytics only run after you consent via the cookie banner, the data we process is minimal — but your rights apply in full.

Your rights under GDPR

  • The right to be informed: clear, transparent information about how your data is used — this page and our Privacy policy.
  • The right of access: you may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to rectification: you may have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • The right to erasure: you may request deletion of your data where there is no compelling reason for us to keep it.
  • The right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Legal basis and scope

Baseline data is what any web server sees: IP address, user agent, and requested pages, kept in rotating access logs for up to 30 days on the legal basis of legitimate interest (security and capacity planning). If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics also processes usage data on the legal basis of your consent — which you can withdraw at any time (see our cookie policy). We do not profile readers, and we do not sell reader data to anyone.

Exercising your rights
