Baseus has turned its latest desktop dock into a full-blown cable control center. The new Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro arrives as a 15-in-1 vertical hub with 160W total output, Qi2 wireless charging, and enough video and data ports to make a clean desk feel slightly judged.
The pitch is straightforward: one dock to handle peripherals, laptop charging, external displays, and phone charging without sprawling across the desk. That kind of all-in-one design has become a familiar answer to increasingly thin laptops and increasingly messy workspaces, and Baseus is leaning hard into the ”one box, fewer compromises” formula.
Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro ports and charging layout
The dock uses a vertical tower design and splits its 15 connection points between the front and rear. Up front, you get two USB-C ports rated for up to 100W power delivery, two 5Gbps USB-A ports, and a retractable magnetic Qi2.2 wireless charging pad. That charger sits on a three-level extendable stand with an 80-degree adjustable angle and can deliver up to 25W to compatible phones and accessories.
On the back, Baseus handles the more permanent hookups: one host USB-C port that delivers 100W to the laptop, two 10Gbps USB-C ports, an SD/TF 3.0 card reader, two 480Mbps USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and two HDMI outputs. The dock ships with a 180W GaN power adapter, which is what lets Baseus claim a 160W total output across connected devices.
Display support and macOS limits
For monitors, the Spacemate RD1 Pro can run a single 4K display at 120Hz or two 4K panels at 60Hz. Windows users get the better deal here with dual extended displays, while macOS users are stuck with mirrored output when both HDMI ports are in play, because Apple still does not support Multi-Stream Transport over this setup. That’s the familiar dock tax for Mac owners: the hardware is willing, the platform is picky.
Baseus also says the dock includes an enterprise-grade retimer chip to keep video and high-speed data signals stable. A front-facing smart display shows port usage, charging status, and power distribution, while a physical button switches between Hybrid Mode and Charging Mode. Hybrid keeps data and display connections active; Charging Mode shuts them down so power can go where it matters most.
Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro price and availability
The Spacemate RD1 Pro is on sale now in Cosmic Black. In the US, it costs $299.99 on Amazon, while buyers in Germany can pick it up for €259.99. Baseus has been busy lately, too, with a 20,800mAh power bank and Bowie MC2 clip-on earbuds also joining its lineup, which suggests the company is pushing harder at the accessories stack rather than betting everything on a single hero product.
The real question is whether buyers want a dock that tries to do everything in one upright slab, or whether they still prefer simpler hubs with fewer moving parts. Either way, Baseus has clearly decided there is room for a premium desktop dock that treats power, display output, and phone charging as one job instead of three.
