Seaviv has unveiled the Seaviv R3 Max mini-PC, a compact system that tries very hard to look like a small desktop rather than a shrunken laptop board. It pairs AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX470 with 32 GB of DDR5 memory, a 1 TB SSD, and an unusually rich port selection that includes dual 2.5G Ethernet, USB4, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, multiple USB-A ports, and OCulink for an external graphics card.
The R3 Max is positioned as a premium mini-PC for users who want compact hardware without giving up wired networking or GPU upgrade options. In China, Seaviv says the R3 Max costs around 7599 yuan, or about $1,100.
Seaviv R3 Max specs and size
The R3 Max measures 131 x 138 x 49.9 mm and weighs 0.55 kg, so it is tiny by any normal desktop standard. Wireless support includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, which puts it in line with newer premium mini-PCs rather than the bargain-bin boxes that still ship with stale connectivity.

Seaviv R3 Max price in China
In China, Seaviv says the R3 Max costs around 7599 yuan, or about $1,100. That is not cheap for a mini-PC, but the pricing matches the spec sheet: this is not a basic office box, it is a compact performance machine that seems designed to compete with higher-end systems from established mini-PC brands and a growing crop of small-form-factor rivals.
The open question is how much of that desktop-like ambition survives real-world use. If the cooling is solid and OCulink support is as practical as it sounds, Seaviv may have something more interesting than another pretty tiny computer. If not, it is just a well-connected cube with an ambitious price tag.
