Ugreen has unveiled a tiny new 45W GaN charger called the Fingertip Power 45W Little Ice Slice, and the selling point is exactly what you think: it is small, inexpensive, and aimed at people who are tired of lugging around bricks that belong in a museum. In China, it costs 109 yuan, or about $16, which is the sort of price that makes premium charging accessories look a little overconfident.

The Ugreen 45W GaN charger measures 62.2 x 42.74 x 12.5 mm, comes in a silver-gray finish, folds its plug away, and offers a single USB-C port rated at 45W. That puts it squarely in the sweet spot for phones, tablets, and some smaller laptops, although one port means Ugreen is betting users care more about pocketability than charging a phone and earbuds at the same time.

Ugreen 45W GaN charger joins the compact charger trend

GaN chargers have spent the past few years slowly replacing older silicon designs by doing more with less heat and less bulk, and Ugreen is following a playbook that rivals such as Anker and Baseus have already made familiar. The difference here is the price: a compact 45W unit that lands at roughly the cost of a decent cable is a direct shot at the impulse-buy crowd, which is where accessory makers make a lot of their money.

The real question is whether Ugreen will keep this design limited to China or push it wider. Small 45W chargers travel well, ship cheaply, and fit the kind of everyday use that has made GaN one of the more durable hardware trends in charging.
