Infinix has launched the Smart 20 in India, pitching it squarely at buyers who want a big screen, long battery life, and a few extras without paying much for the privilege. It succeeds the Smart 10 and makes its case with a 120Hz display, Helio G81 Ultimate chip, and IP64 protection, all in a slim body that tries hard not to feel budget.
The formula is familiar, but the execution is more generous than the price tag suggests. Infinix is also leaning on features that are slowly becoming table stakes in the segment, such as reverse wired charging and stereo speakers, while sprinkling in a few oddities like offline communication support. That is the sort of spec sheet that reads like a small-brand wishlist and a direct shot at rivals from Xiaomi, Samsung, and Realme in the entry-level bracket.
Infinix Smart 20 specifications
The Smart 20 comes with a 6.78-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel, a centred punch-hole cut-out, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Infinix says the screen can reach up to 700 nits in high-brightness mode, and it uses a Dynamic Bar interface for notifications and status updates.

Photography is basic but serviceable: an 8-megapixel rear camera with an auxiliary sensor and dual-LED flash, plus an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone runs XOS 16 based on Android 16, which is a fresh software combo for a device at this price, and also includes stereo speakers with DTS audio, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, and IP64 dust and splash resistance.
UltraLink and other small-phone extras
The most unusual add-on is UltraLink offline communication technology, which Infinix says lets compatible devices connect over distances of up to 1km without a mobile network. That sounds niche because it is niche, but it also gives the Smart 20 a talking point most low-cost phones cannot match.
Infinix is clearly trying to make the Smart 20 feel less like a stripped-down handset and more like a feature stack with a phone attached. It is a smart move in a market where entry-level buyers are increasingly comparing display smoothness, battery size, and durability side by side instead of just chasing the cheapest sticker price.
