Xiaomi has added another travel-friendly charger to its accessory range: the Xiaomi 20,000mAh power bank with a built-in USB-C cable, now selling in China for 149 yuan. It is a straightforward device, which is exactly the point. The market has moved hard toward convenience-first accessories, and a cable you cannot forget is often more useful than a fancier spec sheet.

The new model is already listed on Xiaomi’s Youpin platform and comes in light gray and dark gray. It weighs about 343g, uses rounded edges, and keeps the design subdued rather than trying too hard to look ”premium.” That may sound dull, but power banks are usually judged in backpacks, airport queues, and on train tables – not in product photography.

Xiaomi 20,000mAh power bank specs

  • Capacity: 20,000mAh
  • Battery cells: two 10,000mAh cells
  • Total energy: 74Wh
  • Charging output: up to 22.5W
  • Ports: built-in USB-C cable, one USB-C port, one USB-A port
  • Weight: around 343g
  • Price: 149 yuan

Why the built-in cable matters

All three charging options support up to 22.5W output, including bidirectional charging, so the pack can recharge itself at the same rate it delivers power. Xiaomi says it can take a Xiaomi 17 to around 25% in 30 minutes, while an iPhone 17 can reach about 46% in the same window. That is not headline-grabbing speed in 2026, but for earbuds, watches, and emergency top-ups, it is perfectly sensible.

The company also says the 74Wh rating stays below the 100Wh limit most airlines set for carry-on batteries. That makes it a better fit for frequent travelers than many larger packs that look practical until security gets involved. Safety protections for overcharging, overheating, and short circuits are included too, because apparently batteries still need supervision.

Xiaomi’s accessory play keeps getting more practical

Built-in cables have become one of the easiest ways for charger makers to win shelf space, and Xiaomi is following a familiar pattern here. The approach has obvious appeal: fewer loose accessories, less cable hunting, and one less thing to forget when you leave home in a hurry. Xiaomi has not said whether this model will go global, but the company has a habit of turning local accessories into broader releases later, so the odds are not bad.
