This time, the Amber project is a personal passion. OICHI dedicated an entire week working on location at a real factory to fully embody the industrial atmosphere that fits Arknights: Endfield’s aesthetic.
Who is Amber in Arknights: Endfield?
Amber’s real name is Azrila. She is a disciplined operative affiliated with Sancta’s Technical Division under the codename Amber, hired by Endfield Industries. Before joining Endfield, Azrila served as a knight-orator with the Steel Vow order, battling the hostile Agelois in the frigid northern wastelands.
Orphaned at a young age, Azrila was taken in by the Steel Vow order as a squire and spent her childhood training relentlessly in the icy Nord Frontier camps. Her skill was exceptional: for three consecutive years, she made the finals of the order’s annual combat tournament-an honor reserved for the elite few.
During a pivotal battle on the North Front, the 7th cohort of the Steel Vow unexpectedly lost contact, sparking a major crisis. Azrila survived but was found unconscious for ten days and only regained faint memories of her fallen comrades. Overwhelmed by guilt, she renounced the battlefield on the twentieth day of recovery, deeming herself unworthy. Shortly after, Azrila accepted an offer to join Endfield Industries and chose the code name ”Amber.”
As a fighter, Amber is tall, muscular, and battle-scarred-a testament to her protective combat style centered on shielding allies. True to her Sancta roots, she sports a distinctive metallic angelic halo above her head.
