Xiaomi has expanded the availability of its handheld vacuum, the Vacuum Cleaner G30 Max, to several countries including the US and Germany. Priced around €400 ($434), it positions itself as a relatively premium choice in the cordless vacuum category. Its design, notably featuring prominent cyclones, draws obvious inspiration from Dyson’s flagship models.
The G30 Max is equipped with a multi-stage filtration system that Xiaomi claims captures up to 99.98% of fine dust particles, a key feature for thorough cleaning without recirculating allergens or dust back into the air.
Its suction power peaks at 280 AirWatt, with pressure reportedly reaching 25,000 Pa. Fully wireless, the vacuum runs up to 90 minutes on a single charge in eco mode using the included 2-in-1 crevice tool. When using the electric floor brush attachment, runtime drops to about 70 minutes.
The vacuum offers multiple cleaning modes, but users don’t have to worry about manually adjusting suction power. In automatic mode, a built-in dust sensor detects floor conditions and adjusts suction accordingly, with a convenient color-coded indicator showing the current dirt level.
Additional features include an illuminated electric brush to spot dust more easily in dim areas and a specialized pet hair attachment designed for households with dogs or other furry animals.
Compared to competitors like Dyson and Roborock, the G30 Max competes well on suction strength and filtration but is priced lower than Dyson’s high-end cordless vacuums, which often exceed $500.
