She keeps in touch with her teenage daughter in Utah by phone, her last tether to a former life.
Amanda finally lands a job at a veterinary clinic. But without a car she can’t get there, and without a job she can’t pay off the car-trapped in a vicious cycle. She represents herself in court and wins, only to find out her car was auctioned off. Then she teams up with a nonprofit lawyer and the fight restarts.
Rose Byrne stars as Amanda and also serves as producer. The cast includes Octavia Spencer, Demi Lovato, Ariana DeBose, and Lea DeLaria. The real Amanda now lives in subsidized housing in Seattle, sober since 2018, and keeps that old Camry-not running anymore-as a reminder.
Reminders of Him: a mother’s struggle for redemption

Her daughter has been raised by Scotty’s parents. The only one who doesn’t shun Kenna is Ledger, Scotty’s best friend and local bar owner.
Mike Monroe plays Kenna, Tyrique Weathers is Ledger, and Rudy Pankow plays Scotty. Lauren Graham and Bradley Whitford appear as the grandparents. Country singer Lainey Wilson makes her film debut.
The film had a $25 million budget and grossed $89 million worldwide. Critics were lukewarm, but audiences responded warmly.
Pretty Lethal: ballerinas turned fighters
