Sber has introduced a digital family office that consolidates wealth, property, inheritance, and family affairs management into a single interface. Available exclusively to Sber Private Banking clients for now, this service is integrated directly within the SberBank Online app. The bank positions it as Russia’s first digital family office solution of its kind.

The launch coincided with Russia’s Family, Love, and Fidelity Day on July 8. Account holders gain access to a comprehensive dashboard tracking past requests, task lists, and progress monitoring. Users can grant access to relatives or trusted representatives as needed. Unlike traditional finance-only tools, this platform combines legal advice, asset management, and everyday household affairs.

Inside, clients find dedicated sections for property, capital protection, inheritance planning, and business management. Some issues can be resolved independently via the platform; more complex cases are escalated to specialized bank advisors. Sber also integrated an AI assistant powered by GigaChat to help users articulate queries and navigate complex banking and legal terminology.

Family office services for wealthy clients are common globally, offered by firms like UBS, JPMorgan, and Citi. However, these tend to be personalized, manager-led services rather than the unified digital experience Sber is building. In Russia, private banking teams offer inheritance and property consulting, concierge services, and family capital support-usually spread across different channels. Sber aims to consolidate these into a single digital entry point, transforming private banking into a true platform.

The new digital family office appears under the ”For Life” tab in the SberBank Online app. It launched first for Sber Private Banking customers, with plans to extend access to other premium segments soon. This move aligns with broader competitive pressures in financial services, where banks increasingly compete not only on product returns but on embedding themselves deeper into clients’ daily family and financial lives.
