OnePlus has quietly introduced the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro in China, and on paper it looks like the company’s most powerful tablet yet. It is a China-only launch for now, while the similarly named OnePlus Pad 4 has so far appeared in India, leaving most buyers looking at two tablets they can’t actually buy.

The split strategy is becoming a familiar OnePlus move. It lets the company push ahead on hardware without committing to a unified global tablet lineup, but it also blunts the impact of a launch that otherwise looks very strong.

OnePlus Pad 3 Pro specs and features

The Pad 3 Pro is built around a 13.2-inch LCD panel with a 7:5 aspect ratio, 3392 x 2400 resolution, and a refresh rate that scales from 30Hz to 144Hz. Peak brightness is rated at up to 1,000 nits, and the screen covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Inside, the tablet uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s current top-end chip, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. That puts it squarely in premium Android tablet territory, where the real competition is less about raw speed and more about whether software can keep up.

Battery, cameras and productivity tools

OnePlus is also pushing the productivity angle hard. The Pad 3 Pro runs ColorOS 16 and includes PC-level WPS Office, file tools, cross-device screen sharing, keyboard and mouse sharing, plus AI features for notes, translation, and content creation. That’s the sort of software bundle tablet makers keep promising as the iPad alternative story gets more crowded.

For cameras, there’s a 13-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera. Power comes from a 13,380mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while other specs include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB 3.2 Gen 1, eight speakers, dual microphones, face unlock, and stylus support. The chassis is slim at 5.94mm and weighs approximately 672 grams.

OnePlus Pad 3 Pro price in China

  • 12GB + 256GB: 4,399 yuan
  • 12GB + 512GB: 4,899 yuan
  • 16GB + 512GB: 5,399 yuan

The tablet comes in Dark Brown and Light Green. For now, the real story is not whether the Pad 3 Pro is powerful enough – it is – but whether OnePlus plans to keep playing this regional chess game with its tablets. If the brand wants to challenge Samsung and Apple beyond enthusiast circles, it eventually needs one clear global message instead of a hardware showcase that stops at the border.
