Huawei is celebrating 10 years of its Nova phone line with a limited-edition Nova 16 gift-box edition that is less about hardware changes and more about presentation. The special Nova package arrives as a collector-style gift set tied to the Nova 16 family, and it is being offered only through preorders for the Nova 16 Pro and Nova 16 Ultra in official stores.

That approach makes sense for a brand trying to keep the Nova series feeling young and lifestyle-friendly while the actual phone design stays familiar. It also follows a wider industry habit: when the handset itself does not change much, the box often gets louder.

What is in the Nova 16 Series Star Exclusive Gift

The package is called the Nova 16 Series Star Exclusive Gift, and it comes loaded with extras: stickers, photo cards, refrigerator magnets, a thermos, a case, a keychain, and an album with images. Huawei also says the case design was created by members of TNT (Teens in Times), who are serving as ambassadors for the series.

On paper, it is a bit of merchandising theater. But that is exactly the point: collectible bundles are an easy way to make a mainstream smartphone feel scarce without changing the bill of materials in any meaningful way.

Nova 16 design and preorder rules

The anniversary bundle itself looks like the regular Nova 16 line, with a bright blue finish and a dual-camera module. The limited set is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so the only real upgrade may be speed, not specs.

Huawei had already opened preorders for the Nova 16 series and confirmed a release date of 1 June 2026. Limited editions like this usually do two jobs at once: they reward loyal buyers and keep a product launch buzzing just long enough to matter in a crowded phone market. The real question is whether shoppers show up for the gift set, or just for the phones underneath it.
