Hisense has launched the E8S Mini-LED TV series in India, a new lineup aimed at buyers who want sharp contrast, gaming-friendly speeds and sound that does not immediately demand a soundbar. The range goes up to 85 inches, starts at Rs 57,990, and will be sold only online, which is a pretty clear sign that Hisense wants volume and visibility more than showroom theater.
The formula is familiar, but sensible: better panel tech, more AI tuning, and a few features that make the spec sheet look expensive without pushing the price into premium-brand absurdity. In a market where TCL, Samsung, and LG keep squeezing the mid-to-high-end TV segment, Hisense is leaning hard on value-per-inch and feature density.
ULED Mini-LED panel and HDR support
At the core of the E8S series is Hisense’s ULED Mini-LED display tech, paired with Full Array Local Dimming and Hi-QLED Colour. The company says that combination improves contrast, deepens blacks and delivers more accurate colours, which is the usual Mini-LED promise – but one that increasingly matters as consumers compare these sets against OLED alternatives on picture quality and against basic LED TVs on price.
The TVs also support HDR10+ Adaptive, Dolby Vision IQ and Filmmaker Mode. That trio should help the set handle streamed movies and console content with fewer compromises, especially in living rooms where ambient light changes all day and no one is eager to babysit picture settings.
144Hz refresh rate and AI image tuning
Gamers get a native 144Hz refresh rate, which should mean smoother motion and less blur in fast titles. That is the kind of spec that used to be reserved for enthusiast displays and is now filtering down into mainstream premium TVs, because once people get used to higher refresh rates, going back feels a bit like driving with the handbrake on.
Hisense is also using its Hi-View AI Engine to analyze scenes in real time and adjust picture settings on the fly. The 85-inch model gets a Hi-View AI Engine Pro upgrade for more image enhancement, while an AI RGB Light Sensor changes picture behavior based on room lighting. That is useful, but also a reminder that TV makers now sell a lot of software story with their hardware.
Devialet-tuned sound and VIDAA smart features
Sound is not an afterthought here. The E8S includes a built-in subwoofer tuned by Devialet, which should give the set more bass weight and a fuller presentation than the tinny audio that still plagues plenty of flat-screen TVs. Whether that removes the need for an external speaker system will depend on how picky the buyer is, but it is at least a better attempt than the usual ”good enough” TV audio routine.
The series runs VIDAA Smart OS and supports hands-free voice control for browsing and finding content. Hisense is offering the lineup in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch versions, with sales limited to Amazon and Flipkart. Launch offers include no-cost EMI for up to 18 months and introductory discounts for early buyers.

Hisense E8S Mini-LED TV pricing in India
The E8S series looks designed to catch shoppers who want Mini-LED and gaming specs without paying OLED money. That is a crowded lane, but it is also where TV brands can still find room to grow, especially online, where spec comparisons happen in seconds and impulse upgrades are easier to trigger.
- 55-inch: Rs 57,990
- 65-inch: price not announced
- 75-inch: price not announced
- 85-inch: price not announced
The open question is whether buyers will trust a relatively aggressive feature set at this price point over more established premium names. If the picture quality and audio hold up in real-world use, Hisense may have found a neat sweet spot; if not, the E8S will become another TV that looked terrific on paper and merely fine in a cart.
