Samsung has pulled the wraps off the Galaxy M47 5G’s key specs ahead of its June 29 debut, and the pitch is familiar: big screen, long software support, fast charging, and just enough camera hardware to keep the spec sheet busy. The missing piece is the battery size, which is odd for a phone being sold as a ”next-level monster” for endurance. For now, Samsung says the Galaxy M47 5G will get six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security patches, plus 45 W charging.
The M series has long been Samsung’s budget-to-midrange workhorse line, so this one looks aimed at buyers who want a near-flagship support policy without paying flagship money. That combination has become a sharper selling point as rivals in the same price bands keep trimming software promises once the launch hype fades.

Cameras and video on the Galaxy M47 5G
The rear setup is straightforward rather than flashy: a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 5 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro lens. Up front, Samsung has fitted a 12 MP selfie camera, and both the main and front cameras can record 4K video.
That’s enough to cover the basics, though the 2 MP macro lens feels like standard filler. The more interesting detail is software support: six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security patches is the kind of commitment that can outlive the phone’s battery, which is usually the more honest clock in this segment.
Colors, launch date and pricing
Samsung says the Galaxy M47 5G will arrive in Rogue Red and Blaze Blue on June 29. Pricing has not been announced yet, which leaves the real question hanging: whether this is a genuinely competitive midrange package or just a strong spec list waiting for a not-so-strong sticker price.
