Xiaomi has expanded its audio product lineup beyond China with the global release of the Desktop Speaker Pro Set, initially launching in Singapore. Priced at SGD 139 (about $109), this desktop audio package includes a wired main speaker and a wireless subwoofer, delivering versatile connectivity and multi-mode sound customization designed for various desktop setups.
The main speaker unit features four drivers: two 10W racetrack drivers paired with dual passive radiators, all mounted horizontally. The speaker is angled at 53 degrees, a thoughtful design choice to project sound upward toward the listener for improved clarity across desks. Complementing this is a wireless subwoofer with a 96mm long-throw driver and tuned acoustic port, capable of producing bass frequencies as low as 60Hz. Each component has its own power supply, with the subwoofer getting an independent source to enhance bass impact.

The system uses a low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connection between the main speaker and subwoofer to maintain synchronized sound performance. Audio processing is managed via a digital signal processor (DSP) that handles the entire signal chain and amplification, aimed at delivering low noise with a wide dynamic range. Users can select from five audio equalizer modes-Music, Bass, Vocals, Game, and Movie-with the subwoofer adapting automatically to the chosen mode.

Connectivity options cover USB, Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP support for wireless playback, and AUX input, making this setup compatible with PCs, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. The system even integrates a built-in microphone equipped with acoustic echo cancellation to facilitate clear conference calls or meetings. For users who prefer external microphones, a 3.5mm mic input is also included. The aesthetic combines a sleek metal grille with RGB lighting: 24 LEDs light the main speaker and 5 LEDs illuminate the subwoofer, spread across six different lighting effects. Physical controls are centralized in a side knob and two top buttons to toggle volume, audio mode, input selection, and lighting.
The main speaker’s dimensions measure 51.1 x 7.5 x 7.5 cm, weighing approximately 960 grams, while the subwoofer comes in at 15 x 15 x 21.9 cm and weighs about 1,308 grams. Both components run on 12V power supplies (main at 3A and subwoofer at 1.5A) and are rated for operation within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C. After debuting in China as the Redmi Desktop Speaker 2 Pro in September 2025, this launch marks Xiaomi’s effort to make affordable, feature-rich desktop audio more accessible internationally.
