Motorola has launched the Moto G77 Power in India, targeting budget-conscious buyers with a massive 7000mAh battery, a smooth 120Hz display, and a 50-megapixel Sony camera. Priced at ₹25,999, early promotional deals drop it to ₹23,999, placing it in a fiercely competitive segment where battery life often outweighs raw specs.
The midrange smartphone arena in India is crowded with models that don’t just battle on performance but focus heavily on endurance, camera quality, and screen experience. While many rivals under ₹30,000 still feature 5000mAh or 6000mAh batteries, Motorola’s 7000mAh cell stands out as its biggest selling point.

The Moto G77 Power sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 1050 nits, and Display Color Boost technology. It also includes a Water Touch mode designed to improve touchscreen responsiveness when your fingers are wet. Stereo speakers support Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, adding to its multimedia appeal.

Motorola focuses on AI-driven camera features, though the sensor lineup is fairly standard for this class. The 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor uses Quad Pixel technology for better low-light shots and is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens. Highlighting sensor brands like Sony aligns Motorola with a recent trend in midrange phones, emphasizing both sensor quality and software processing to attract buyers.
Durability and protection aren’t overlooked: the Moto G77 Power is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and carries SGS certification claiming MIL-STD-810H compliance, plus IP64-rated splash and dust resistance. It ships with Android 16 out of the box, although Motorola promises only one OS update, which might lag behind Samsung’s longer software support seen in comparable devices.
The phone is available in a single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration in three colors: Pantone Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red, and Impenetrable. Sales begin on July 13 across Flipkart, Motorola India’s official site, and offline retailers.
In India, this segment is dominated by Samsung’s Galaxy M series, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series, and iQOO handsets, all focusing on big batteries and fast charging. If Motorola’s 7000mAh battery delivers noticeably longer uptime without making the device bulky or heavy, the Moto G77 Power could carve a niche by offering tangible endurance benefits rather than just buzzwords.
As power efficiency and battery capacity continue to drive purchasing decisions in budget smartphones, the real test will be how the Moto G77 Power handles everyday use with this large cell long term. Will it maintain the balance between endurance, performance, and comfort that Indian consumers expect? Stay tuned for full reviews and user feedback in the coming weeks.
