Evolute has increased the prices of two of its crossover models in Russia this July. The second-generation electric i-Joy rose by 150,000 rubles, while the hybrid i-Space increased by 100,000 rubles. At the same time, the ”City” trim of the i-Joy lineup was discontinued, leaving only two versions available.

The i-Joy ”Business” trim is now priced at 2,974,000 rubles, and the ”City+” version sells for 3,174,000 rubles. According to Avtonovosti Dnya, the i-Space price rose by 100,000 rubles after the adjustment, though part of that increase can be offset by a state-subsidized car loan program. This program covers 35% of the vehicle’s price, capped at 925,000 rubles.

After factoring in these subsidies, the base i-Joy effectively costs 2,049,000 rubles, while the top trim comes to around 2,249,000 rubles. The i-Space is listed at 2,660,000 rubles for the five-seater and 2,760,000 rubles for the seven-seater. On paper, the price jump is significant, but for many buyers, the final price at dealerships will be softened by government support.

Both models originate from Chinese platforms. The i-Joy is a localized version of the Dongfeng Nammi 06 electric SUV, featuring a 163 hp electric motor and a 51.87 kWh battery pack. The i-Space is marketed as a hybrid with an official range of up to 1,250 km. Notably, the i-Joy retains fast-charging capability-its battery can recharge from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

Evolute’s local assembly and its impact on pricing and subsidies

Evolute assembles its cars locally at the Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region since 2022, which remains a key advantage in the Russian market. Local production grants access to government subsidies, unlike many direct Chinese rivals that sell without such incentives. This pricing update is more than a routine summer adjustment-it reflects demand ahead of Innoprom 2026, where the brand plans to showcase its full lineup.

Specifications and features of the i-Joy and i-Space crossovers

  • i-Joy based on Dongfeng Nammi 06 electric SUV platform
  • Electric motor power: 163 hp
  • Battery capacity: 51.87 kWh
  • Fast-charging: 30% to 80% in 18 minutes
  • i-Space hybrid range: up to 1,250 km

Looking ahead, the impact of these price changes will depend heavily on the future of Russia’s subsidy programs. If the financial support remains, the i-Joy will stay one of the most affordable electric crossovers with official domestic assembly. However, if subsidies shrink, the price gap with fully imported Chinese models could widen significantly by autumn.
