Realme has pushed its P-series further in India with the Realme P4R 5G, a mid-range phone that leans hard on battery size, a fast display, and a price that stays below the usual premium-sounding spec sheet. The new model pairs an 8,000mAh battery with a 144Hz LCD panel and MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chip, then goes on sale on June 17 through Flipkart and Realme’s own store.

That formula is familiar, but the battery number does the heavy lifting here. In a segment where many rivals still stop at 5,000mAh, Realme is trying to make endurance the headline, while the 144Hz screen gives it a stronger pitch for gaming and scrolling than the usual budget 90Hz fare.

Realme P4R 5G specifications

The P4R 5G uses a 6.8-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Peak brightness is rated at up to 1,200 nits in high brightness mode, and the panel is protected by Panda-1681 glass.

  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 6300
  • RAM and storage: LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage
  • Variants: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB
  • Expandable storage: supported
  • Battery: 8,000mAh with 45W SUPERVOOC charging

Realme also includes support for VOOC, PD, QC, and PPS charging protocols, which is a sensible touch for anyone who has accumulated a drawer full of chargers. The phone measures approximately 166.4 x 78.2 x 8.8mm, weighs around 224 grams, and comes with MIL-STD-810H shock resistance, plus an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Camera features and connectivity

For photos, the phone has a 50MP rear camera with autofocus and an 8MP front camera. Realme is leaning on software features too, including Night Mode, Street Mode, Cinematic Video, Dual-view Video, Time-lapse, Pro Mode, Tilt-shift, and Google Lens integration.

Connectivity is fairly standard for the class: Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C, OTG support, dual-SIM 5G, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and face unlock. It is a practical list rather than a flashy one, which fits the rest of the device.
