OnePlus is lining up a pair of budget phones that look far too ambitious for the price. The leaked OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro is said to pair a Samsung 1.5K+ display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Super chip, an 8000 mAh battery, and IP69X protection, while still aiming for a price around 1000 yuan, or $147.
If that figure holds, this is exactly the sort of spec sheet that can embarrass pricier rivals. Big batteries are becoming the new arms race in affordable phones, and OnePlus appears to be pushing hard on endurance rather than chasing flashy camera talk.
Turbo 6X Pro specs leaked ahead of launch
The information comes from Digital Chat Station, who also shared images of the devices ahead of the official presentation. According to the leak, the OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro will be the more interesting model in the lineup, with a flat Samsung panel, 144 Hz refresh rate, and the Dimensity 7400 Super at the core.
- Display: flat Samsung 1.5K+ panel, 144 Hz
- Chip: MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Super
- Battery: 8000 mAh
- Memory options: 8+128 GB, 8+256 GB, 12+256 GB
- Protection: IP69X
The standard Turbo 6X cuts a few corners
The regular Turbo 6X is expected to use a 144 Hz LCD panel and a less powerful Dimensity 7360 Super, with the battery trimmed to 7000 mAh. It will reportedly mirror the Pro on memory choices, with 8+128 GB, 8+256 GB, and 12+256 GB versions.
That split makes sense. The Pro sounds designed to grab headlines, while the base model keeps the price and parts under tighter control. In a crowded midrange market, that kind of laddering is often more effective than one do-everything device that tries too hard and still gets ignored.
Digital Chat Station leak adds credibility
OnePlus is not the only company leaning on huge batteries and high-refresh displays, but the mix here is unusually aggressive for the rumored price. The leak also fits a pattern for the source: Digital Chat Station has previously been early and accurate on phones such as the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, and on chipset timing around the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite.
If the launch really is near, the real question is whether OnePlus can keep the bargain pricing while delivering the battery, display, and durability claims intact. Phones like this tend to vanish from the rumor mill only when they either underdeliver or sell out fast.
