Casio is launching a new G-Shock collaboration inspired by the Star Wars series The Mandalorian and its breakout character, Grogu. The limited-edition collection hits stores on May 1, 2026, in the US, UK, and select European countries, just weeks before the new Star Wars film premieres on May 22, 2026.

The lineup features two distinct models: the Casio GM-2100 G-Steel and the Casio BA-110 Baby-G.

The GM-2100 G-Steel takes cues from the iconic Beskar armor worn by the Mandalorian, boasting a forged metal bezel and the signature shock-resistant structure G-Shock is known for. Its hybrid analog-digital display combines rugged durability with classic styling, making it a versatile pick for fans and watch enthusiasts alike.

On the other hand, the BA-110 Baby-G embraces a vivid green color scheme that channels Grogu’s unmistakable hue. This model is smaller and more playful but retains the same level of shock resistance as its G-Steel counterpart. Its complex dial design features multiple sub-displays, adding a dynamic, character-driven flair to the watch.

Casio Mandalorian and Grogu-themed G-Shock watches

One of the standout features of this Star Wars-themed G-Shock collaboration is an inventive accessory: a foldable ”Bounty Hunter ID” card that folds magnetically into a watch stand. This marks the first time G-Shock has included such a transformable element in its special editions, adding a novel collectible dimension.

The campaign also includes a short film portraying a father and daughter heading to the movie premiere, highlighting the family-friendly appeal of the series and the watches. Despite the creative marketing touch, Casio’s approach remains straightforward-take popular G-Shock models, dress them up with themed designs, and add collectible extras to attract Star Wars fans.

Choosing between the GM-2100 G-Steel and BA-110 Baby-G will mostly come down to personal taste: the GM-2100 offers a sleek, understated style inspired by Mandalorian armor, while the BA-110 caters to wearers who want a bold, playful look tied directly to Grogu. Availability will be limited to select retailers and online stores, with official pricing details expected closer to the launch date.

Casio’s Mandalorian-inspired G-Shock release underscores how legacy watch brands continue to leverage pop culture properties to keep their products relevant. It will be interesting to see whether these models spark broader interest in themed watches beyond the typical collector base, especially as rival brands like Apple and Samsung focus more on tech than stylistic tie-ins. As smartwatch markets saturate, collaborations like this could carve out a niche combining nostalgia and fandom.
