Cosplayer CaterpillarCos has delivered an impressively accurate take on Ada Wong’s new look from Resident Evil 4 Remake – capturing the spy’s iconic red sweater and leather harness so precisely that the first photo could easily sit side-by-side with an in-game screenshot. But it doesn’t stop there: the set also features a more revealing, fanservice-inspired version of Ada’s outfit, showcasing two sides of the character in one shoot.
The first image showcases Ada’s updated 2023 remake outfit: a red, high-neck knitted sweater paired with black leather straps crossing her shoulders, a waist belt with a prominent buckle, and matching black lace gloves and stockings. This new look replaced the classic red dress with a slit from the original 2005 game, reflecting Capcom’s intentional design choice to make the covert agent’s appearance more practical and realistic. CaterpillarCos pulled off the right shade of red, the knit texture, and even Ada’s signature short black bob with impeccable attention to detail.

The second photo turns up the fanservice with black lace lingerie complemented by the same leather harness, thigh-high boots, gloves, and a choker, all under a moody red ambient light that ties both looks together. This dual approach highlights the cosplay’s authenticity while appealing to fans who appreciate a more daring Ada Wong.
Who is Ada Wong?

Ada Wong is a cunning and dangerous secret agent of Chinese-American descent, who first appeared in the survival horror classic Resident Evil 2 in 1998. Her ambiguous and complicated relationship with protagonist Leon Kennedy quickly turned Ada into a fan-favorite character in the franchise. Over the years, Ada’s loyalties have been fluid-she’s worked for numerous shadowy organizations including the infamous Umbrella Corporation, often betraying her employers to serve her own mysterious goals. Leon remains the only person she helps without expecting anything in return.
Ada’s signature colors are red and black, and her short black bob hairstyle has remained virtually unchanged throughout the series. In the Resident Evil 4 Remake, the character was brought to life by Chinese-Canadian actress Lily Gao, whose vocal performance sparked controversy within the fan community, triggering harsh criticism and mixed reviews of the game. Gao responded to backlash by turning off comments on her social media accounts, stating simply, ”My Ada is a survivor.”

Resident Evil 4 Remake launched in March 2023 and quickly became one of Capcom’s biggest hits, selling over seven million copies worldwide within its first year. This remake updated a beloved classic with modern graphics and gameplay improvements, drawing both longtime fans and newcomers into the franchise’s survival horror universe.
