Insider John Prosser has shared renders of the rumored iPhone Air 2 in a striking lavender color. These aren’t leaked prototype photos but rather illustrations based on circulating rumors, so take them with a grain of salt. Prosser has stumbled before, but he’s also accurately predicted certain Apple device details in the past.

The most eye-catching feature of the iPhone Air 2 is the dual camera setup on the back panel alongside the main sensor. According to Prosser, both lenses will sport 48-megapixel sensors, with one serving as an ultrawide lens. He also predicts Apple will stick with a titanium frame and maintain the sleek thinness that made the current iPhone Air the slimmest model in Apple’s lineup.

On the processor side, Prosser believes the iPhone Air 2 will use the A20 Pro chip, built with WMCM (Wafer-level Multi-Chip Module) architecture. This design places the RAM outside the main processor die, which should improve heat dissipation and provide more flexibility for the internal layout-key benefits in a slim smartphone where space and thermal management are tight.

Prosser also expects the iPhone Air 2’s price to rise by about $50 compared to the current model. That increase aligns with Apple’s typical approach: while base iPhone prices don’t shift every year, adding new materials, extra cameras, and more advanced internals usually pushes costs up. Chinese insider Digital Chat Station has made similar claims about the dual 48MP cameras but didn’t mention any new colors or share renders.

How close these renders come to the real iPhone Air 2 will be clear closer to Apple’s expected fall event. However, the idea of adding a second camera fits the current industry trend-Samsung, Xiaomi, and Vivo have long equipped even their slim midrange phones with multiple high-megapixel lenses. Apple rarely leaves its middle-tier devices stuck with just one camera for long.

Adding a lavender color option could help Apple inject fresh appeal into the Air line, which aims to balance premium features with a lighter price tag. The move to titanium would put it a step above typical midrange phones, closer to the premium feel of the Pro models. With the rumored A20 Pro chip and dual 48MP sensors, the iPhone Air 2 could become a compelling choice for users wanting advanced photography and performance without paying flagship prices.
