Just weeks after Black Cat’s debut in Marvel Rivals, Russian model Miakanayuri nailed the look of Felicia Hardy, capturing the character’s signature thief vibe with sleek white hair streaked with lavender, a tight black latex suit, her iconic mask, and even a vintage telephone receiver as a prop.

Black Cat joins Marvel Rivals in Season 7.5

Black Cat became the 49th playable character in Marvel Rivals when she launched in Season 7.5, ”The Hunt Is On,” on April 17, 2026. In the game’s storyline, Felicia outsmarts Kingpin and carves her own path through New York City, operating under her own agenda.

She’s classified as a duelist with a unique Fortune mechanic-a resource Felicia builds with every hit on enemies. This Fortune fuels the Gilded Deal system, allowing her to open portals to Randall and spend on relics from the Thieves Guild’s vault. These relics grant abilities ranging from invisibility and teleportation to control resets and hypnotic fields.

The gameplay is straightforward in concept but challenging in execution: build up Fortune, buy the right relic, break into the enemy’s backline, and escape before getting taken down. Her ultimate ability, Calling Card, marks all visible enemies simultaneously and lets her jump between them rapidly-one of Marvel Rivals’ most chaotic and satisfying ultimates when used well.

Black Cat carries a 4 out of 5 difficulty rating. She’s a glass cannon who demands precise positioning and timing to unlock her full potential.

Felicia Hardy’s comic book origins and powers

Felicia Hardy first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #194 in July 1979. The daughter of Walter Hardy, a famed burglar, she followed in her father’s footsteps after his arrest, eventually surpassing him. Donning the Black Cat costume to break her father out of prison, she encountered Spider-Man on that very night. Since then, her relationship with Spider-Man has been a complex mix of ally, foe, and love interest-sometimes all at once in a single story arc.

Her signature comic book power is probability manipulation, causing nearby enemies to stumble, miss attacks, or suffer random mishaps. Marvel Rivals translates this through her Fortune system and a passive debuff called Jinx, which makes opponents occasionally miss their strikes.
