Tecno has expanded its Spark 50 lineup with a new 4G model, following the recent release of the Spark 50 5G. The Tecno Spark 50 4G targets users who want a large screen, strong battery life, and solid everyday performance without breaking the bank.

The phone features a 6.78-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution (720 × 1600 pixels) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a rare combination for budget devices that promises fluid scrolling and better motion clarity.

Under the hood sits a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, a midrange processor designed for efficient 4G connectivity and reliable multitasking in everyday apps and games.

Its standout spec is a massive 7000mAh battery, supported by 18W wired charging. This capacity promises days of use on a single charge, catering to power users or those with limited access to frequent recharging.

Photo duties fall to a 50-megapixel main rear camera paired with an 8-megapixel front shooter, which should cover basic photography needs like social media and video calls. The phone runs Android 16, giving it up-to-date software features in the budget segment.

The Tecno Spark 50 4G measures 167.8 × 79.22 × 8.18 mm and comes in five colors: Halo Blue, Titanium Grey, Ink Black, Aurora Purple, and Bloom Pink. Buyers can choose from three memory options:

  • 4GB RAM with 128GB storage
  • 6GB RAM with 128GB storage
  • 8GB RAM with 256GB storage

Additional features include an infrared port, IP64 dust and splash resistance, and drop protection up to 1.8 meters. It also supports FreeLink 2.0 technology, which enables device-to-device connections up to 1.5 km without a cellular or Wi-Fi signal-a useful tool for users in areas with poor network coverage.

Tecno’s Spark 50 4G fits squarely in the budget smartphone category, competing against other affordable devices from brands like Xiaomi and Samsung’s Galaxy A series. Its unusually large battery and 120Hz screen make it a compelling option for power users on a budget, especially in emerging markets where strong battery life and network flexibility matter most.

As manufacturers continue to push higher refresh rates and bigger batteries into affordable phones, the Tecno Spark 50 4G shows the trend is gaining traction beyond flagship tiers. Watching how Tecno balances price with these strong specs will be key to understanding the next wave of budget smartphone upgrades.
