Vivo’s X300 FE looks set to land in India with a small but telling twist: a green color option that wasn’t part of the global lineup. If the leak holds up, the phone could arrive in the first week of May 2026 with Black, Purple, and that exclusive Green finish, giving Vivo a way to make the India launch feel less like a copy-paste job.

That isn’t just a paint job for the sake of it. Indian smartphone launches often get minor cosmetic differentiation, especially when a brand wants a local talking point without changing the hardware. In this case, Vivo may also be skipping Moonlight White, which was available elsewhere alongside Cool Purple and Graphite Black.

The report, which points to information from tipster Yogesh Brar via Smartprix, says the India debut is expected in the first week of May 2026. The standout detail is the Green variant, shown in a leaked image with a more refined finish than the standard dark and purple options.

That kind of market-specific color strategy is not new. Phone makers use it to create a little exclusivity without touching the bill of materials too much, and in a crowded mid-premium segment, even a different shade can be enough to get people talking for a few days.

Vivo X300 FE specifications tipped so far

The rest of the rumored spec sheet looks aimed at buyers who want a compact flagship-style phone without the full flagship price, which is exactly where the competition has become annoying for everyone involved.

  • 6.31-inch AMOLED display
  • 1.5K resolution
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset
  • 50-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom, and 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera
  • 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging
  • OriginOS 6
  • IP68 and IP69 ratings

Vivo’s Zeiss-branded camera setup and the big battery are the parts that matter most here. If the launch timing is right and the pricing lands well, the X300 FE could become another example of Vivo using design tweaks and a strong hardware stack to keep its India model distinct from the rest of the world.

India-exclusive green finish could help Vivo X300 FE stand out

The bigger question is whether the India version gets anything beyond the color shuffle. For now, Vivo seems to be teasing just enough to build interest, while leaving the final hardware and pricing details for launch. That’s usually when the real fight starts.
