Ubisoft has officially announced that The Division Resurgence, its upcoming mobile shooter, will launch globally on March 31 for iOS and Android. This marks the first confirmed release date after an extended period of testing and early access.

The announcement came during a presentation celebrating the tenth anniversary of The Division franchise, where Ubisoft also detailed future plans for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 and other entries in the series.

According to the developers, The Division Resurgence is a full-fledged mobile game featuring an open world, a canonical storyline within The Division universe, and support for both single-player and cooperative modes. Familiar series elements will return, including the iconic Dark Zone and a specialization system. This positions the game not as a simple spin-off, but as a comprehensive Division experience tailored for smartphones.

The Division Resurgence release date and cross-play rewards

Ubisoft also revealed cross-play rewards alongside the release date. Players of The Division 2 on PC and consoles will be able to earn bonuses in Resurgence, while mobile players can unlock rewards in The Division 2, such as accelerated progression up to level 40.

Pre-registration and global launch details for The Division Resurgence

Pre-registration is now open on the App Store and Google Play. For Ubisoft, this signals the transition from testing to a full global rollout, and for players, the much-anticipated mobile Division title is finally set to go live in just a few weeks.

How The Division Resurgence compares to other mobile shooters

The Division Resurgence enters a crowded market of mobile shooters linked to major AAA franchises-like Call of Duty: Mobile and Valorant Mobile-but Ubisoft’s approach to preserving core features, story depth, and cross-platform synergy could set it apart. How well the game balances the open-world experience on mobile will be key to its success.

What to watch for at The Division Resurgence launch

Keep an eye on how Ubisoft manages server stability at launch and how cross-rewards impact player engagement across platforms. This rollout might also hint at Ubisoft’s broader strategy of integrating its flagship games into the mobile ecosystem more deeply.
