Samsung’s Galaxy A27 has finally emerged in Geekbench’s database, revealing it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. This comes months after Samsung launched the Galaxy A37 and A57 in late March, with the A27 rumored to join the lineup last November but delayed until now.

The benchmark listing shows the Galaxy A27 prototype scoring 777 points in single-core and 1802 in multi-core tests. The tested unit featured 6GB of RAM running on Android 16 out of the box. There could be other memory configurations available at launch as well.

Samsung Galaxy A27 benchmark with Snapdragon chip

Samsung’s move to Snapdragon for the A27 is notable. Its predecessor, the Galaxy A26, relied on Samsung’s own Exynos chips – the Exynos 1380 for most global markets and the Exynos 1280 in Latin America. Shifting to Qualcomm’s silicon suggests a strategic pivot for this entry-level to midrange series, possibly improving performance and power efficiency.

While the Galaxy A27 remains officially unannounced, this Geekbench reveal confirms it is in active development and likely launching soon. We expect more details on pricing, variants, and availability to drop in the coming weeks.

In the crowded budget smartphone segment, Samsung’s decision to incorporate Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 could help the A27 stand out against competitors like Xiaomi and Motorola, who also target this price tier with Qualcomm chips. How Samsung balances cost, performance, and features will determine if the A27 can carve out a loyal following.
