Asus has started UK sales of the 2026 ROG Zephyrus G14, and the 14-inch gaming laptop is not pretending to be modest. The new Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 brings Intel’s Panther Lake platform, Nvidia’s latest mobile GeForce options, and a price tag that pushes it firmly into premium territory.

Core Ultra 9 386H and 3K OLED panel
Every version of the new G14 uses the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, a 16-core chip paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X 8533 memory. Asus says the processor includes an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS, 18MB of cache, and boost speeds up to 4.9GHz. Storage comes in 1TB or 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD trims.
The display stays familiar on paper: a 14-inch 3K OLED panel with 2880 x 1800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The upgrade is brightness, which now peaks at 1,100 nits. Asus also keeps ROG Nebula HDR, G-Sync, Pantone validation, a MUX switch, and Advanced Optimus in the mix, which is the sort of spec sheet that tells you this laptop is meant to do work as well as flex.
RTX 5070, 5070 Ti, and 5080 options
Graphics choices start with the RTX 5070, then climb to the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080, all using GDDR7 memory. Asus has raised power limits versus the 2025 model: the RTX 5070 now runs at 90W plus 15W Dynamic Boost, while the 5070 Ti and 5080 move to 100W plus 15W. Turbo clocks reach up to 1595MHz, 1812MHz, and 1550MHz respectively at 115W.
- RTX 5070: 8GB GDDR7, 90W plus 15W Dynamic Boost
- RTX 5070 Ti: 12GB GDDR7, 100W plus 15W Dynamic Boost
- RTX 5080: 16GB GDDR7, 100W plus 15W Dynamic Boost
To feed that extra appetite, Asus ships a 250W power adapter, up 50W from the previous model. The system is backed by a 73Wh battery, which should help for travel, though nobody buys a Zephyrus G14 and expects it to spend all day away from a charger with a straight face.
UK prices and configuration differences
There are three configurations in the UK:
- The base model costs £2,899.99, pairs the RTX 5070 with 1TB of storage, weighs 1.50kg, and measures 1.59 to 1.63 cm thick.
- The RTX 5070 Ti version is priced at £3,099.99, weighs 1.58kg, and measures 1.59 to 1.83 cm thick.
- The top-end RTX 5080 model costs £3,699.99, includes 2TB of storage, weighs 1.58kg, and measures 1.59 to 1.83 cm thick.
In a market where compact gaming laptops keep getting more expensive, Asus is clearly betting that buyers will pay for the lighter chassis rather than move up to a bulkier 16-inch machine.
Ports, extras and the real competition
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and a UHS-II SD card reader. Asus also fits a four-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and Smart Amp, a 1080p IR camera, an RGB backlit keyboard with a Copilot key, and Slash Lighting.
The obvious rivals here are thin-and-light gaming notebooks from the likes of Razer, Lenovo, and HP, all of which have been nudging performance upward while trying not to turn into portable radiators. Asus is leaning hard into a familiar pitch: premium materials, serious GPU choice, and a display that can double as a creator panel without looking apologetic.
The question is how far the UK market will stretch for a 14-inch gaming laptop that starts near £3,000 and tops out at £3,699.99. If Asus has its tuning right, the G14 could keep its cult status; if not, buyers may decide that ”small” is nice, but not quite £3,699.99 nice.
