Two new contenders in the Android flagship space, the Redmi K90 Ultra and OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, are gearing up for an April debut, according to trusted leaker Digital Chat Station. Notably, both phones are expected to share several key specs, positioning them as direct rivals in China’s competitive smartphone market.
At the heart of both devices will be MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, featuring a single high-performance core clocked at 4.21 GHz, three powerful cores, and four energy-saving cores. This setup promises up to a 32% uplift in single-threaded performance and around 17% better multi-threaded speeds compared to its predecessor.
Both models reportedly pack roughly 8000mAh batteries with 100W fast charging support and high-refresh-rate displays pushing 165 Hz – specs that gamers and power users will appreciate in a crowded premium segment.

The Redmi K90 Ultra stands out with its rumored 1.5K LTPS display, a dedicated GPU chip, and an active cooling system that includes a fan-features typically seen in gaming phones. Even the battery could be up to 8500mAh, a large capacity uncommon even in this niche.
Additional perks reportedly include stereo speakers with symmetrical tuning, a larger vibration motor for enhanced haptics, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68-rated water and dust resistance, rounding out a feature-rich package.
The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, meanwhile, is expected to sport a massive 6.8-inch 165 Hz display powered by the same Dimensity 9500. It has already been certified in China, although detailed specs have yet to be disclosed. A device with model number PMK110 registered with China’s SRRC regulatory database might be the Ace 6 Ultra, though this remains unconfirmed.
Both phones are set to compete head-to-head when they launch in China this April. While global availability hasn’t been announced, OnePlus’ history of bringing its Ace series to select international markets makes a wider release plausible.
With the Redmi K90 Ultra pushing into gaming territory with a fan-cooled design and the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra leaning on pure display size, the April launch could spark an intense showdown between these two MediaTek-powered flagships. It will be interesting to see how these phones stack up against offerings from Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi’s other premium models, especially as high-refresh-rate displays and large batteries become the norm in this price tier.
