Philips has introduced the Baristina Bar Pro 500, a fully automatic coffee machine that can produce cold brew coffee in just 90 seconds, a process traditionally taking about 12 hours. Launching in China with a price tag of 3796 yuan ($552), the machine leverages advanced cold extraction technology combined with a zero-preheat system to deliver quick, smooth coffee without compromising flavor. The Baristina Bar Pro 500 is designed to meet the needs of coffee lovers seeking convenience and quality in one appliance.
Philips Baristina Bar Pro 500 cold brew technology and performance
The Bar Pro 500 employs AuraPress technology, which integrates high-pressure extraction, low-flow permeation, and low-temperature brewing to meet the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) Golden Cup standard for aroma and smoothness. With a 16-bar pump pressure system, it ensures stable coffee extraction resulting in a rich crema and balanced taste.
Compact design and premium aesthetics for small spaces
Designed for convenience and style, the compact machine measures just 19 cm wide – close in size to a laptop – making it ideal for kitchens with limited space or office environments. Its aesthetic mixes cool-toned metal casing with fir wood accents, giving it a sleek and premium look that stands out from typical coffee makers.

Durable ceramic grinder and intelligent BeanSync 2.0 system
Among its standout features is a 100% ceramic disc grinder, which Philips claims is 2.3 times harder than metal grinders. This material preserves the natural coffee bean flavors and extends the component’s longevity. The BeanSync 2.0 system automatically adjusts extraction settings based on the bean roast level, optimizing brewing for dark, medium, or light roasts.
Multiple coffee presets and generous capacity
The machine provides six coffee presets, including espresso, lungo, and iced coffee, with user customization for strength and cup size ranging from 70 ml to 200 ml. It includes a 1.2-liter water tank and a 170-gram bean hopper, capable of handling multiple servings without frequent refills.
Easy maintenance with dry-wet separation and quick-release system
Philips also prioritized easy maintenance by incorporating a dry-wet separation system that prevents clogging by coffee grounds and a quick-release puck system for hassle-free disposal of used grounds. This focus on user-friendly cleaning addresses a common drawback found in many fully automatic machines.
Philips expands consumer technology portfolio with complementary products
This latest release complements Philips’ recent expansions into audio devices, including the TAB4230 soundbar and SHP9500 headphones in India, underlining the brand’s diverse consumer technology portfolio.
