Oppo appears to be working on a more compact model of its Watch X3 smartwatch, targeting users who find the current edition bulky for daily wear.
The standard Watch X3, recently launched in China, sits in the premium segment. It features a titanium case, a 1.5-inch LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, and health tools like ECG and skin temperature measurement. The watch also boasts impressive battery life, especially in power-saving modes.
According to insider Digital Chat Station, Oppo is developing a smaller variant, tentatively called the Watch X3 Mini. While the name has not been officially confirmed, rumors about this model have been circulating for some time.
The focus with this Mini version seems to be comfort: a reduced case size and a screen around 1.3 to 1.4 inches should make it more suitable for extended wear. However, smaller dimensions likely mean a smaller battery, which could slightly reduce uptime compared to the standard Watch X3.

Details on the release date remain unclear. An April launch has been speculated but not confirmed. It’s also uncertain if the smaller Watch X3 variant will be available outside China. Given Oppo’s history of rebranding similar devices under OnePlus, the Mini could appear under a different name internationally.
If it launches, the compact Watch X3 variant could appeal to users who want a balance between advanced features and everyday comfort-offering a slimmer alternative in a category where many smartwatches tend to be bulky.
