OnePlus has launched the Magnetic Ice Cooling Clip, claiming it as the world’s thinnest magnetic cooler for smartphones. Revealed alongside the OnePlus 15T, this compact gadget aims to keep devices cool during intense usage while maintaining an ultra-slim profile and lightweight feel. Priced at just 179 yuan (around $26), it targets gamers and heavy users seeking efficient thermal management without bulky accessories.
The cooler adopts a design reminiscent of a slim power bank, measuring 87.6 x 62 x 9.8 mm at its thinnest and weighing 68 grams. Some structural components extend up to 11.9 mm, but the overall form factor emphasizes portability. Inside, OnePlus integrates a thermoelectric cooling (TEC) module paired with a curved air duct and a silent centrifugal fan to achieve effective heat dissipation. This design directs cool air from above while expelling heat to the side, minimizing heat exposure to the user’s hand during prolonged sessions.

The device features a dual-mode cooling system, letting users toggle between a whisper-quiet silent mode at 22 dB-ideal for streaming and casual use-and a more aggressive performance mode operating at 36 dB for gaming and demanding apps. Its magnetic attachment delivers a strong 10 N hold and supports both Android and iPhone models. Users can fine-tune cooler settings through Bluetooth via ColorOS X mode. Power is supplied through USB Type-C at up to 5 V/3 A.

Constructed from durable polycarbonate and aluminum alloy materials, the Magnetic Ice Cooling Clip also features indicator lights to signal operation status. It enters a competitive field where products like Black Shark’s Ice Cooling Back Clip 6 Pro and Red Magic’s Cooler 8 Air stand out with added features such as full-color displays and RGB lighting. OnePlus’s compact, budget-friendly offering focuses on combining thinness with silent, effective cooling for a broad range of smartphones.
