Apple’s MacBook Neo is selling out rapidly, with all configurations currently sold out online and shipping delays extending into April just weeks after its release. Both the 256GB and 512GB models, available in all four colors, now show delivery times ranging from two to three weeks-a situation more commonly seen with new iPhone launches than with Macs.
The MacBook Neo comes in silver, blush, citrus, and indigo, available in two primary storage configurations: 256GB priced at $599, and 512GB priced at $699. Both configurations feature Touch ID. Despite the recent launch, all models ordered through Apple’s online store currently have estimated delivery dates between April 6 and April 13. This rapid sell-out indicates that demand is exceeding Apple’s initial supply capacity.
In Apple Store locations, stock availability varies by color and configuration. The entry-level 256GB model is generally in stock for silver, blush, and citrus options, while the indigo variant often faces delays until mid-April. Similarly, 512GB versions show uneven availability, with some colors available for same-day pickup and others delayed. This inconsistent inventory highlights ongoing challenges in Apple’s supply chain management for the new MacBook Neo.
Third-party retailers like Amazon and Walmart offer a mixed availability landscape. Amazon delivery estimates extend into April for many MacBook Neo models, though slightly improved compared to Apple’s online store. Walmart provides same-day delivery for certain configurations, but other models won’t ship until late March. This suggests that these retailers may have better distribution or more stock in some cases, but supply constraints are widespread across all channels.
Strong sales of the MacBook Neo have helped Apple’s Mac lineup break records, despite early supply constraints. The Neo’s competitive pricing and appealing color options have clearly resonated with customers, causing demand to outpace production ramp-up. Industry observers will be monitoring how quickly Apple can improve availability as demand remains high leading into the summer season.
