This launch introduces two flagship models – the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and the Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus – targeting users hungry for top-tier laptop power.
The higher-end Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus boasts 24 cores and 24 threads, reaching a peak frequency of 5.5 GHz. The Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus offers 20 cores, maxing out at 5.3 GHz. Both chips feature a 900 MHz increase in inter-chip communication frequency compared to their base models. This boost enhances data transfer speeds between the CPU and memory controller – a subtle but meaningful upgrade for real-world performance.
The platform embraces the latest connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, promising faster and more reliable wireless connections.
