Black Shark has introduced the Ice Cooling Back Clip 6 Pro Magnetic Edition, a high-performance mobile gaming cooler that combines serious cooling power with gamer-friendly aesthetics. Priced at 249 yuan (around $36) and currently available for pre-order in China, this accessory is designed to keep smartphones chilled during intense gaming sessions.

The Back Clip 6 Pro packs a 40×40 mm thermoelectric cooling (TEC) chip boasting 35W cooling power, capable of dropping phone surface temperatures by up to 50°C. Black Shark claims it can reduce device surface temperature to as low as -25°C in a 25°C room. This latest model enhances internal design and increases cooling elements, achieving roughly 30% better performance compared to the previous generation-an impressive leap for an external smartphone cooler.

Beyond raw cooling, the accessory sports a 0.71-inch full-color HD display that provides real-time data readouts including cooling power, temperature, fan speed, and battery statistics. Users can even customize the display’s wallpaper, adding a dash of personalization to their gaming setup. The device’s visual flair extends to 16 RGB LEDs that deliver vibrant lighting effects tailored for gaming enthusiasts.

Using its ICECOLD 2.0 cooling system alongside Cold Forging Technology 2.0, the clip promises efficient, quiet operation at 39 dB or less, with a 26% boost in heat dissipation thanks to an aviation-grade aluminum plate. Weighing just 104 grams, the cooler attaches magnetically with a strong 12 N grip and protects devices with soft silicone padding to prevent scratches. Dual temperature sensors combined with AI-driven controls ensure the device neither overheats nor overcools, also preventing condensation.

Additional thoughtful touches include dual air outlets designed to keep gamers’ hands cool during long sessions. The Back Clip 6 Pro integrates with the Black Shark Equipment Box app, allowing users to monitor and fine-tune cooling performance. Black Shark advises pairing the cooler with a 40W or higher charger to unlock its full potential.

This launch follows closely on the heels of Black Shark’s recent global release of the Black Shark Gaming Tablet, powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and featuring a 144 Hz display. The company also announced the Blade 3 magnetic power bank, offering 10,000 mAh capacity with both wired (30W) and wireless (15W) charging support, rounding out its expanding gaming ecosystem.
