Ayaneo is raising prices on several of its handheld consoles and scaling back production on some models due to surging costs for RAM and storage components that are affecting the entire tech industry. The company detailed these changes in a Discord announcement, impacting a range of devices, including recent releases.

The Ayaneo Pocket Vert is nearly sold out and will be discontinued. Similarly, the recently launched Ayaneo Pocket S Mini has already been pulled from production, with remaining units being cleared out without any plans for restocking.

Ayaneo also confirmed that the free Pocket Air Mini devices-given as compensation for reduced battery capacity-will no longer be available after April 1, 2026.

On a brighter note, the Ayaneo Pocket DS is seeing limited availability again, with roughly 200 units open for preorder and shipping expected by mid-April. However, future production remains uncertain, so the supply will be constrained.

Within the Konkr series, the situation is steadier but involves adjustments. The Pocket Fit Gen 3 and Pocket Fit 8 Elite remain on sale. The Snapdragon 8 Elite version-previously delayed-has started shipping, and after fulfilling current orders, a phased sales relaunch is planned. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant has been discontinued.

The Konkr Fit, Ayaneo’s first Windows-based model in the lineup, is still available for preorder. Initially released as a limited run, future production volumes will now depend on demand.

Ayaneo has not specified exact price increases or other models affected. However, given the industry-wide rise in DRAM and storage prices, further lineup adjustments seem likely.

Ayaneo handheld consoles affected by rising memory and storage prices

Ayaneo offers Windows-powered handheld gaming PCs that compete with devices like the Steam Deck, often at a premium. Memory and component price fluctuations impact this segment heavily due to its reliance on high-end mobile hardware.

As Apple, Valve, and Samsung innovate in portable consoles and devices, Ayaneo’s challenges highlight the difficulty of balancing advanced specifications with cost in a volatile supply chain environment.

Current availability and pricing changes of Ayaneo handheld consoles

Here is a summary of current status and pricing adjustments for Ayaneo’s handheld consoles:

  • Ayaneo Pocket Vert: Nearly sold out, discontinued
  • Ayaneo Pocket S Mini: Production stopped, remaining stock being cleared
  • Pocket Air Mini: Free units discontinued after April 1, 2026
  • Ayaneo Pocket DS: Limited availability, ~200 units for preorder, shipping mid-April
  • Konkr Pocket Fit Gen 3 and Pocket Fit 8 Elite: Still on sale
  • Konkr Snapdragon 8 Elite version: Shipping resumed after delay, phased relaunch planned
  • Konkr Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version: Discontinued
  • Konkr Fit: Available for preorder, future production depends on demand

Specific pricing increases have not been disclosed, but users should expect higher costs due to ongoing DRAM and storage price inflation.

Outlook for Ayaneo’s handheld gaming PC lineup

Looking ahead, Ayaneo faces a strategic decision amid persistent memory inflation: whether to focus on premium models with limited production or pivot toward more affordable variants to sustain growth. The company’s next moves will be key to its survival in the highly competitive handheld gaming space.
