AOC has opened preorders in China for the Agon Pro AGP277KX, a 27-inch gaming monitor boasting a 5K resolution with a refresh rate of up to 350Hz at lower resolutions. Given AOC’s history, an international release will likely follow.
The AGP277KX features a 5120 × 2880 pixel panel, delivering a sharp 218 pixels per inch. This level of detail suits both creative professionals and gamers seeking ultra-clear visuals.
At the native 5K resolution, the monitor refreshes at 180Hz. Dropping down to 2K unlocks a blazing-fast 350Hz, a clear signal that AOC designed this panel with esports athletes and fast-paced gaming enthusiasts in mind.

AOC claims the display covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and a full 100% of sRGB, boasting impressive color accuracy with a ΔE under 1. Peak brightness hits 500 nits, making this a solid option for color-critical work. However, the lack of mini-LED backlighting caps contrast at a modest 1000:1.
For gamers, it offers dynamic crosshair overlays, enhanced visibility in dark scenes, and other performance-focused features. Ergonomically, the monitor supports tilt, swivel, height adjustment, and pivot rotation.
Connectivity options include:
- DisplayPort 2.1
- Two HDMI 2.1 ports
- 3.5mm audio jack
- USB Type-C with up to 65W power delivery
- Three USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-B port

The monitor is priced at 5,999 yuan (roughly $870) in China, where preorders have already started. No official global launch date has been announced yet.
While 27-inch 5K panels remain rare, AOC’s push to combine ultra-high resolution with ultra-high refresh rates meets growing demand from competitive gamers and creators who want the best of both worlds. Its price point makes it an intriguing alternative to more expensive options from brands like LG and Dell, which currently dominate the 5K display segment.
Keep an eye on how AOC balances image quality and gaming performance in future reviews, especially compared to Apple’s Studio Display or Samsung’s upcoming high-res OLED panels. The ability to hit 350Hz at 1440p could make this monitor a breakout hit for esports pros looking beyond traditional 1440p or 4K panels.
