Nothing is preparing to release Nothing OS 4.1, a mid-cycle software update that debuted with the Nothing Phone (4a) series in March 2026. Though the company has not officially confirmed the complete rollout schedule, this update-which introduces AI enhancements, improved lock screen features, and various usability upgrades-will be available to most of the brand’s recent smartphones, including the Nothing Phone 3 series.

The devices set to receive Nothing OS 4.1 include the Nothing Phone 3 series, the 3a variants including Lite and Pro versions, two generations of the Nothing Phone 2 series, and the CMF Phone 1 and 2 Pro models. This broad eligibility aligns with the tradition that any model running Nothing OS 4.0 or launched on it should gain access to 4.1.

Initial reports suggest the update could begin arriving on the Nothing Phone 3 and Phone 3a models as early as April 2026, with wider distribution to the rest of the eligible devices expected by May. Nothing OS 4.1 builds on the Android 17 base that the company is also planning to evolve into Nothing OS 5.0 in the future.

This update reflects Nothing’s effort to keep its devices competitive by introducing smarter AI tools and more refined user interfaces without waiting for major yearly upgrades. While competitors like Samsung and Google often keep mid-cycle updates modest, Nothing is pushing useful features that could enhance everyday smartphone interactions.

For users eager to know what’s new, Nothing OS 4.1 focuses on leveraging AI to improve lock screen functionality and general system features. Curious owners should also follow official announcements or tech news channels to catch the updates as they hit their devices.
