Asus has unveiled the ExpertBook B3 G1, a new addition to its business laptop lineup that offers versatile configurations for professionals. The laptop will be available in 14- and 16-inch models, catering to different work styles and mobility needs.

The ExpertBook B3 G1 is powered by a range of Intel Core Ultra processors, from the Core Ultra 5 225H and Core Ultra 5 vPro 235H to the higher-end Core Ultra 7 255H and Core Ultra 7 vPro 265H, giving buyers ample choices depending on performance requirements. Graphics duties are handled by the integrated Intel Arc 140T GPU, marking a notable inclusion of Intel’s discrete graphics in a business notebook.

One standout feature is its support for up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a generous amount for high-demand professional applications. Storage is equally flexible, with dual M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots supporting up to 6TB in total capacity, allowing for expansive and speedy data handling.

The display options range from a base 1920×1200 IPS panel to a premium 2560×1600 screen boasting up to 400 nits brightness, a 144Hz refresh rate, and full sRGB color coverage-specs that are unusual for typical business-focused laptops and hint at improved multimedia capabilities.

The 16-inch version adds an optional touchscreen at 1920×1200 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, matching the higher-end display’s performance traits.

Connectivity is comprehensive, featuring Thunderbolt 4, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and gigabit Ethernet-covering all modern business needs without compromise.

Battery options include 50Wh and 70Wh capacities, while the webcam lineup ranges from standard HD to Full HD and even an FHD+IR camera that supports Windows Hello facial recognition, enhancing security for business users.

Asus has not yet disclosed pricing or an official release date, leaving details on availability pending.

Though Asus’s ExpertBook B3 G1 faces competition from established business laptops like Dell’s Latitude and Lenovo’s ThinkPad lines, its offering of Intel Arc graphics and high-refresh-rate displays sets it apart in a segment often stuck with conservative specs. Its support for high-capacity DDR5 memory further targets power users needing more than basic productivity tools.

What to watch: how well Asus balances powerful specs with business-grade durability and serviceability, and whether Intel Arc graphics can deliver tangible benefits for professional workflows beyond standard office tasks.
