Chinese automaker JAC Motors partnered with Russian racing powerhouse KAMAZ-master for the 15th Silk Way Rally, supplying rugged JAC T9 pickups to support the team’s logistics throughout the grueling event.
The Silk Way Rally kicked off on July 12, 2025, in Irkutsk and wrapped up on July 22 in Gorno-Altaysk, covering over 5,000 kilometers across the Mongolian steppes, Gobi Desert, and the Altai Mountains. The intense route is known as one of the toughest challenges for off-road racers.
JAC T9 pickups served as support vehicles during the rally, hauling equipment and providing rapid assistance to the KAMAZ-master crews throughout the race. Their ability to handle rough terrain under extreme conditions highlighted the model’s durability and off-road capability.
By teaming up with KAMAZ-master, JAC Motors aims to boost its footprint in the Russian automotive market, showcasing the reliability and toughness of its vehicles in demanding real-world racing conditions.
