Huawei has refreshed its MateView GT 27 lineup for 2026, introducing four different configurations that focus on delivering high refresh rates and enhanced features for gamers and creatives alike.

The flagship model features a 27-inch IPS panel with 4K resolution, a 160Hz refresh rate, 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and peak brightness reaching 450 nits. Huawei positions this version as a competitor to monitors like the Asus TUF Gaming VG27UQ1A but loaded with more versatile options.

One standout feature is the ultra-fast 320Hz mode, which drops resolution to Full HD (1080p) to cater specifically to esports enthusiasts who prioritize refresh rate over resolution. The connectivity package is robust, including two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C port capable of 100W charging.

Audio is another highlight, with a built-in speaker system that packs five drivers: two 5-watt full-range speakers, two 3-watt tweeters, and a 5-watt subwoofer, aiming to provide a fuller sound experience without external speakers.

Besides the 4K flagship, Huawei offers a quicker QHD (2560×1440) variant with refresh rates up to 200Hz and slightly lower brightness capped at 350 nits. Both the 4K and QHD models come in versions that exclude USB-C and built-in speakers, letting users choose according to their needs and budget.

The lineup breaks down into four configurations in total with the following pricing:

  • QHD entry-level model: 1,099 yuan (about $159)
  • QHD Sound Edition with speakers: 1,499 yuan (~$217)
  • 4K model without speakers: 1,999 yuan (~$290)
  • 4K Sound Edition with built-in speakers: 2,599 yuan (~$377)

So far, Huawei has not announced plans for a global release, limiting these models to the domestic Chinese market for now.

While Huawei isn’t traditionally known for gaming monitors, this update pushes the MateView GT 27 to compete directly with established gaming displays from Asus, Dell, and Samsung. Its combination of ultra-high refresh rates, 4K resolution, and an emphasis on audio could carve out a niche, particularly among esports players who demand performance without compromising display quality. Whether these models will reach a broader audience remains to be seen, but Huawei’s ambitions in the PC accessories space are clearly accelerating.
