Aniimo, the free-to-play creature-catching RPG from Pawprint Studio and Kingsglory, is launching on PlayStation 5 alongside existing versions for Xbox Series, PC, iOS, and Android. The PS5 edition will be available soon, with a demo debuting at PAX East 2026 later this month in Boston.

Set on the sprawling continent of Idyll, Aniimo invites players to capture and bond with fantastical creatures called Aniimo. Their appearance shifts dynamically based on in-game conditions such as weather, location, and time of day, making discovery a constantly evolving experience. Collecting and evolving these creatures forms a core part of the gameplay, encouraging exploration in a richly detailed open world where players can swim, glide, and burrow to reach new areas.
Unique Twine fusion mechanic and multiplayer mode
What sets Aniimo apart is the ”Twine” mechanic, enabling players to fuse with their caught creatures and gain their abilities. This allows creative puzzle-solving and combat strategies, as well as a transformed perspective on the game’s world. Beyond solo play, Aniimo supports a multiplayer ”Egg Heist” mode in the Lost Isles, where three-player teams compete in real-time PvE and PvP scenarios.
Personalized social hub with RV base
Players can personalize their own RV home base in the vast world of Idyll. Parked at community campsites, the RV serves as a social hub where Pathfinders meet, cultivate crops, decorate, and interact with their Aniimo collections. This adds a cozy, communal layer to the otherwise vast and dynamic exploration gameplay.

With platforms spanning from mobile to next-gen consoles, Aniimo is set to carve out a niche in the crowded creature-collecting RPG genre.
