Philips has revealed details of its refreshed Moving Sound audio lineup, blending 1980s-inspired design with modern wireless and smart features. The series includes two portable Bluetooth speakers, over-ear headphones, and true wireless earbuds, all slated to launch in Q2 2026.

At the top of the range is The Tube (MS80), a powerful 140-watt Bluetooth speaker that reimagines the classic boombox. It packs dual 5-inch (12.7 cm) woofers, two 19 mm tweeters, and two passive bass radiators for deep low-end punch. You get Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast for synchronized playback, and IP67-rated dust and water resistance. The Tube offers up to 24 hours of battery life and sports a built-in display showing an animated cassette tape, nodding to its retro roots. Measuring 51 × 20 × 16.5 cm, it includes a handle plus a shoulder strap for portability. Price: €350.

The Roller (MS60)

The smaller sibling, The Roller (MS60), is a more compact 60-watt Bluetooth speaker with a single woofer, tweeter, and passive radiator. It features Moving Sound Bass+ processing to enhance deep frequencies and delivers true stereo sound. Like The Tube, it supports Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast, IP67 protection, and up to 24 hours of playback. Its dimensions are 38 × 20 × 12 cm, with a price tag of €180.

Both speakers can wirelessly charge smartphones and are managed via the Philips Entertainment App.

Philips Moving Sound speakers’ retro design and modern connectivity

Philips’ designs stand out in a crowded Bluetooth speaker market dominated by prominent brands like Bose, JBL, and Sony. Their vintage aesthetic combined with modern connectivity features such as Auracast distinguishes them from competitors. Auracast enables synchronized wireless audio playback, a feature that Apple and Samsung have yet to fully adopt. Additionally, the IP67 rating and battery life put these speakers on par with top rival models.

Upcoming Moving Sound headphones and earbuds in 2026

As Philips rounds out its 2026 Moving Sound lineup with over-ear headphones and true wireless earbuds, industry observers will watch closely to see how well the brand’s retro-meets-modern approach performs outside its traditional markets. The key question is whether nostalgia-driven design paired with smart wireless technology can carve out a niche against established global audio brands pushing sleek, futuristic styles.
