GameSir has unveiled the G7 Pro Dragon’s Dogma II Edition gamepad to celebrate the second anniversary of Capcom’s hit RPG Dragon’s Dogma II. This special edition controller is the result of a collaboration between GameSir and Capcom.

The gamepad features a distinctive design with a removable magnetic panel showcasing a dragon motif. The buttons and analog sticks are finished in brown, while the circular D-pad comes in a deep red shade. It also includes a branded charging dock emblazoned with the game’s logo.

Under the hood, the G7 Pro packs GameSir’s signature Mag-Res TMR analog sticks, dual-mode triggers supporting both mechanical microswitches and Hall effect sensors, ABXY buttons with microswitches, and a mechanical D-pad. It also offers four programmable buttons-two on top and two on the back-four vibration motors, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 1200mAh battery.

The controller integrates a built-in gyroscope that activates only when connected to a PC. Its polling rate reaches 1000Hz exclusively via PC connections using either the included 2.4GHz USB adapter or a USB-C cable.

The G7 Pro supports PC, Xbox consoles (wired USB-C only), and Bluetooth-enabled Android devices. However, wireless Xbox connectivity requires other GameSir controller models.

The package includes:

  • 2.4GHz USB adapter
  • Two additional D-pad shapes for customization
  • Cable clip
  • 3-meter USB-C cable

Priced at $89.99, the G7 Pro Dragon’s Dogma II Edition is currently available for purchase through GameSir’s official website.

GameSir and Capcom collaboration on themed gaming controllers

GameSir’s collaboration with Capcom taps into a growing trend of themed controllers targeting dedicated game communities. While companies like Sony and Microsoft occasionally release limited-run controllers tied to exclusive titles, GameSir’s proactive partnership with a Japanese developer highlights the rising influence of third-party manufacturers in the gaming peripherals space.

Features and performance of the G7 Pro Dragon’s Dogma II Edition gamepad

With premium features like dual-mode triggers and customizable buttons, the G7 Pro competes with higher-end controllers from Xbox and Sony, but at a lower price point and with added personalization options. It remains to be seen if GameSir will expand such collaborations to other major franchises, potentially changing how gamepads cater to fanbases.
