Intel is set to launch the Arc Pro B70, a compact workstation graphics card equipped with 32GB of GDDR6 ECC memory and 32 Xe cores, delivering up to 367 TOPS of performance. Scheduled for release on March 25, this new model targets professionals rather than gamers, emphasizing reliability and efficiency with its error-correcting memory and PCIe 5.0 x16 support.

The card boasts a small footprint, occupying just two slots and featuring a single centrifugal fan for cooling. The reference design has a TDP of 230 watts, powered by one 8-pin power connector. However, partner variants with higher power envelopes up to 290 watts may use dual 6-pin 12V connectors. Its GPU chipset, code-named BMG-G31, was previously speculated to appear in gaming models but now seems dedicated to professional workloads, though gaming use remains possible.

Intel Arc Pro B70 targets professional workstation users

While Intel’s Arc lineup has mostly targeted gamers in recent years, the Arc Pro B70 signals a renewed focus on the workstation segment, competing with NVIDIA’s professional series models by offering large memory capacity and ECC support for stability. The integration of PCIe 5.0 ensures future-proofed bandwidth benefits for graphics-intensive and compute-heavy applications.

Intel’s latest workstation GPU arrives as the market demands both power and efficiency in smaller packages. The Arc Pro B70’s combination of a compact dual-slot design and high memory capacity makes it attractive for creators and engineers who require strong compute performance without oversized hardware.
